Liquidations Q&A

Q: What is a Liquidation?

A: A liquidation helps you reduce your tangible, physical assets, usually in a short amount of time by holding a sale that is open to the public.

Q: How does it work?

A: We work with you to establish what it is that you want sold, what the very least amount is that you will accept for the items, and how quickly you need to liquidate. Once that is determined, we market the sale locally and sometimes nationally to potential buyers. In order to maximize your net proceeds, prices are reduced gradually over the duration of the liquidation sale. For example, discounts may be 20% at the beginning and increase to 80% closer toward the end. We will work with you to establish fair market value pricing for items that do not have retail pricing, such as office furniture, equipment, fixtures and displays.

Q: Where do you operate liquidations?

A: Our focus market is Central Florida.

Q: How quickly can we get started?

A: We can generally begin a sale within 30 days of coming to terms with you. The size and scope of your liquidation will determine this.

Q: How long does it take to operate the liquidation sale?

A: This can be as quick or as long as you wish it to be, or as fast as the market responds.

Q: What are the costs involved?

A: Expenses such as advertising, labor, etc. are generally borne by the seller. We will work with you to establish an agreed upon, written budget and schedule for how and when expenses are paid..

Q: How are payments made by customers?

A: Liquidations make all sales final and as-is. Payments are usually made by cash, but we can work with you to decide if checks or credit cards are feasible.
